Anyone can learn a new language at any time by speaking practice. It is easier for school children because the power of memory and retention at their age is particularly strong.

Many students have done their studies in English medium schools, colleges and universities. However, despite so many years of education, they struggle in interviews and cannot give properly presentations in English. Although they possess good subject knowledge, their poor communication skills mean that they are treated as unfit for teaching in English Medium Schools, and in corporate sectors in which there are more employment opportunities. Similarly, many teacher education students and those pursuing, Nursing, Hotel Management, MBA, IT and other Technical studies are also struggling in such interviews, especially in rural areas. We can see this in every college and in every department.

This is because, although they have studied in English Medium schools, they are not able to communicate in English properly. In consequence, they cannot speak the language fluently with others. Even the school management and teachers are not able to find new solutions to make the students speak in English on campus. However, if they fail to practice, they will not be able to master the new language. This is because students in English medium schools do not know the importance of learning English. The school should help students understand the importance of learning English while at school.

At the same time, we observe glamorous posters everywhere, placards hanging on trees, writings on walls and advertisements in newspapers, promising to teach spoken English within 30 days. Has anybody achieved this within 30 days? In truth, anyone can become fluent in a language by practicing it. The best example is the case of tour guides. Tour guides in major tourist spots can speak fluently in various languages. They developed this skill by practice. Similarly, we can observe that many street traders can speak good English by repeated practice.
