We all know very well that there are 4 important areas in learning a new language – that is reading, listening, speaking and writing. Here, ‘englishfriend.in’ online service connects students with native British speakers of the English language, providing students with an opportunity to practice speaking and listening. In this process the students will gradually get an opportunities to start speaking in English without any difficulty.

At present we have started with English language, but this will be expanded further to other languages if the need arises. Information technology has its merits and demerits. However, our duty is to utilize technology to serve mankind. In the post-pandemic era, much teaching learning is occurring online.

Through our online service the facilitator connects Indian school children in the age groups of 8 to 15 - (STD 3rd to 10th). They also will connect English Department students from various colleges/universities and students of Nursing Colleges with the native English speakers to develop their communication skills.

The idea is that this is the most conducive and favorable environment for students to develop their communication skills without any pressure. Their communication skill will improve during the conversation. There will be no stress, no homework and no tears involved in learning English.

Conversations will be monitored by an English teacher from the school/ college/ university. This option will help the students to concentrate in that one hour. Moreover, the teacher Who Monitors the Session will understand the learning process better and understand the needs and requirements of each student. This will enable us to help them better in the learning process.

Further, we will send constructive feedback every month to the respective colleges about the students. For example, some students will not speak at all; a few will be very shy. The feedback will be helpful to analyze and find a solution to rectify any barriers in speaking/practicing the language.

Therefore, in this learning process we will not teach English, but will facilitate the opportunity for students to speak in English.

There should be no barrier to learning English in any section of society. Access to learning should not depend upon attendance at an English medium school or college. If the possibility arises, we are planning to extend our service to government run schools. Through this, our vision and mission will be fulfilled by reaching out to the unreachable.
